Letters of Credit

There is a little known advantage that purchase order financing and purchase order funding have over transferable letters of credit (TLOC).

If you use a TLOC, your client will eventually know who your supplier is. It will not take a long time for your client to take you out of the equation and start dealing with your supplier directly.

Purchase order funding helps protect your supplier relationship because the letter of credit comes from the purchase order finance company.
