This morning I heard on NPR and also on the WSJ that China had become the #1 exporting country, getting ahead of Germany. Many purchase order finance companies have made a substantial business by funding US and Canadian companies that import goods from China into their respective countries.
This does not necessarily affect the industry at this time, but it's an interesting fact to know.
